Combined Environmental Crises: The multiplying environmental pressures that are pushing many kinds of global and local systems toward radical disruptive events for people: oceans, climate, extinctions, forests, water, soils, energy, global poverty, food supply, economic finance, etc. all pushed beyond sustainble limits and in "overshoot". They all trace directly to people having multiplied their solutions in the past. We paid for them all, both in dollars and in unexpected consequences. People solving their immediate concerns didn't know how to look into the future to see the consequences. We're still doing the very same thing, though, looking for any way to keep multiplying the scale of the economies and not looking at what increasing the scale of our solutions over and over will result in. There's a basic error in that. We should connect the causes and detail the effects. Systems can stabalize, but ours is not designed to.
