Hey Norman. What editing help screen? I'm probably more of a wiki new-bie than anyone, so feel free to suggest stuff that would help the site run smoother... Thanks! -BL Producer-
- When you edit a page, like this one, you see a link at the bottom that says, "Editing help." When you click on that link in Wikipedia, you get a cheat sheet of the basic Wikipedia markup. It explains how to do things like get numbered paragraphs. When you click on the "Editing help" link in this Wiki, you just get a page with no text. I assume the person who set this up didn't include that page.
- You can't just copy the corresponding help page from Wikipedia, because this Wiki doesn't have all the functions. For example, the <ref>References</ref> function doesn't work.
- But this Wiki works well enough to get the job done. If there's a hacker around, s/he can tweak those things, but if not, it's good enough.
- If you have to choose between spending time developing the program and tweaking the Wiki, the time is better spent developing the program. Norman 21:55, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
